Scope of the calculations
Results and explanations are general references. Before using them for engineering design or fabrication, verify the applicable codes, standards, specifications and project requirements.
Pipe calculations assume uniform straight pipe; tank tools assume simple geometry; draft tools summarize geometric relationships between observations. Material variations, tolerances, losses, structural or stability assessments and statutory approval are not included.
Important design decisions
Important design or fabrication decisions may require review by a qualified engineer. Approved calculation documents, manufacturer information and project procedures take precedence.
Users determine the accuracy of their inputs and the final application of results. If a result is unexpected or the scope is unclear, review the formula and units before using it.
Improving accuracy
